Job summary

Exeter Chiefs are seeking a Commercial Sales Executive to join and support the commercial team at Sandy Park. This role offers exposure to professional sport, prospecting, sponsorship analysis and commercial reporting under the Head of Corporate Sales.

You will source leads, assist with sponsor renewals, activate deals, and help organise events and hospitality. Hybrid matchday involvement and a clear path to develop a commercial career in sport are offered.

Responsibilities

• Source new business leads through networking, prospecting and sales calls
• Help activate sponsorship agreements, including arranging player appearances
• Create and update social stats for players to support the sales proposition
• Assist with renewals of existing sponsors and hospitality guests
• Support the commercial team with business and sponsor events
• Help with corporate hospitality bookings and matchday documents
• Work on matchdays where required and keep up to date with commercial deals in sport

Exeter Chiefs are looking for a Commercial Sales Executive to join and support the commercial team at Sandy Park.

The Role

This is a rare opportunity for someone with an interest in professional sport and excellent communication skills to gain experience in a dynamic, ambitious team. Working under the Head of Corporate Sales, you will support all aspects of day-to-day commercial work, including prospecting, sales calls, benchmarking, sponsor analysis and commercial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Source new business leads through networking, prospecting and sales calls
• Help activate sponsorship agreements, including arranging player appearances
• Create and update social stats for players to support the sales proposition
• Assist with renewals of existing sponsors and hospitality guests
• Support the commercial team with business and sponsor events

Key Details

• Location: Sandy Park, Exeter
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00–17:30, plus matchdays (time off in lieu)
• Contract: Full time
• Salary: £28,000 plus commission, with OTE of £45,000
• Benefits: Contributory pension, 25 days’ holiday, free on-site parking, staff match tickets and shop discount
