Job summary

Good Energy is seeking a Commercial Solar PV Electrician to join our engineering team. You’ll handle the electrical part of solar PV installations on commercial sites and contribute to inspections and testing, with full training provided if needed.

Based in the Reading area, the role involves travel and overnight stays up to 80% of the time, a 40-hour week, and a focus on delivering high-quality, safe work and clear communication with customers and team members.

Qualifications

• C&G Level 3, Apprentice-trained Electrician.
• Trained or updated to the 18th Edition Regs.
• Commercial electrical experience.
• ECS (Gold Card JIB) or equivalent certification.
• Strong technical and analytical skills.
• Ability to work well as part of a team.
• Creative problem-solving abilities and clear communication skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Willing to travel and stay away as required for projects.

Responsibilities

• Work principally on Solar PV on commercial sites, handling the electrical part of installations, inspections and testing.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality, safe electrical work.
• Present ideas clearly to customers and maintain effective communication.
