Commercial Real Estate Lawyer (Investment Focus) | Chelmsford Office, Essex

An ambitious, forward-thinking law firm with deep roots across Essex and East Anglia is growing its Real Estate Investment practice and is looking for an experienced lawyer (Senior Associate level) to join its established and well-connected Chelmsford office.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-performing real estate investment team that advises major players in the UK and international property markets. The role is driven by strong and sustained client demand - you'll be stepping into a practice that's busy, well-regarded, and strategically important to the wider firm.

You'll handle a diverse and high-value caseload including:

• Complex acquisitions and disposals, both conditional and unconditional
• Corporate wrapper deals and large-scale portfolio transactions
• High-level asset management and financing work
• Landlord and tenant matters, including leases, surrenders, and licence negotiations
• Strategic support across a variety of commercial sectors

In addition to fee-earning, you'll play a hands-on role in team leadership, business development, and mentoring junior colleagues. There's also space here for the right person to shape the future direction of the team in Chelmsford, and with a clear progression pathway to Partnership.

Who We're Looking For:

• At least 5 years' post-qualification experience in commercial property, with particular strength in investment matters
• Someone commercially sharp and solutions-focused, with strong technical knowledge but also able to apply it in a practical, client-friendly way
• A confident communicator who enjoys collaboration, mentoring, and getting involved in growing the team
• Experience from a well-regarded national, City or regional firm is ideal
