Job summary

Lanes Group is seeking a commercially focused Quantity Surveyor to own end-to-end QS processes across Leyland-based workstreams under the Sapphire Utility Solutions division. The role emphasizes accuracy, pace and strong process control for the United Utilities contract, with collaboration across Operations, Planning and Finance.

You will manage valuations, payments, WIP and final accounts, ensuring commercial entitlement and auditable records.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in utilities or construction.
• Strong cost control, WIP and final account experience.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills with operatives, finance and client teams.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the QS process across allocated workstreams.
• Manage from instruction through valuation, Application for Payment and final account.
• Prepare accurate Applications for Payment with complete evidence and ensure revenue recognition.
• Maintain audit trails and robust CVR reporting for allocated workstreams.
• Collaborate with Operations, Planning and Finance to ensure correct costing and timely payments.
