Job summary

Ian Williams Ltd is seeking a proactive Quantity Surveyor based in Kent to help tender, estimate, and measure onsite for painting and refurbishment contracts across South East regions. You will work with the commercial and operational teams across housing, education, and commercial sectors.

You will prepare cost estimates, manage cost value reconciliations, and liaise with Clients, Contractors, and Subcontractors to secure viable variations and ensure project profitability.

Qualifications

• Experience in measuring and estimating for contracts and tenders.
• Ability to produce cost value reconciliations and analyse commercial risks.

Responsibilities

• Measure and prepare cost estimates for contracts and tenders.
• Prepare cost value reconciliations and identify commercial risks/opportunities.
• Coordinate with Contracts Manager to ensure productivity targets and labour incentives.
• Manage variations and progress through client, supplier, and subcontractor relationships.
• Analyse weekly site reports with cost data (labour, budgets, progress, quality, safety).
