Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Commercial Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing costs and ensuring projects are delivered within budget and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for fit-out projects, contract JCT knowledge, including JCT Design Build and traditional. Materials, labour, overhead costs.
• Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documents to determine project requirements and scope.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to understand project objectives and constraints.
• Monitor project costs, provide regular forecasts, and identify potential risks and opportunities.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of construction costs and market trends.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards.
• Participate in site visits and meetings to assess project progress and address any cost-related issues.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, estimating and commercial management. within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of fit-out processes, materials, and regulations.
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Other:

The role will be on a full time basis, Monday to Friday with the requirement of both office and site visits.
