Terrific opportunity for an experienced property solicitor to join this highly regarded South Lakeland practice and to head up an established property department. This opportunity is available due to growth within the practice and offers scope to make a significant impact as the team expands in the coming years.

The firm operates across several offices in the region, handling niche and complex transactions including land law, easements, forestry, agricultural, and commercial property matters such as business leases, overage, sales, and purchases. While there is potential to handle high-end residential property, 90% of this role is focused on commercial property.

The department has a steady stream of work from local estate agents, large regional businesses, and recommendations, allowing the team to 'cherry pick' assignments. The firm plans to grow the team by adding two more solicitors within 12-24 months, with the successful candidate playing a key role in this expansion.

This role includes some training responsibilities, overseeing a team of six including legal assistants and secretarial support. The firm offers a hybrid working arrangement with up to 40% remote work. Overall, it's a friendly environment without egos, dedicated to excellent client service.
