Qualifications

• 3+ years PQE in commercial property law.
• Proven track record handling broad property caseload independently.
• Strong knowledge of property, land, landlord and tenant law.
• Experience handling acquisitions, disposals, leases and development matters.
• Ability to draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial property documents.
• Familiarity with land registration and SDLT procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
• Client-focused, with clear, commercially oriented advice.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and review contracts, leases, agreements for lease, and licences.
• Conduct due diligence—review title documents, searches, and planning consents.
• Advise clients on landlord and tenant matters, including renewals, rent reviews, and break clauses.
• Handle acquisitions and disposals of commercial premises, development land, and investment properties.
• Liaise with clients, developers, local authorities, surveyors, lenders and other stakeholders.
• Register transactions with HM Land Registry and ensure SDLT compliance.
• Manage risk and AML/regulatory obligations and maintain compliance.
• Provide clear, commercially focused legal advice tailored to client needs.
