Job summary

Jago Consultants is assisting a well respected law firm in recruiting a Paralegal with Commercial Property experience to join the busy Property Team in Woking, GB. The role involves time recording, drafting documents, and handling searches, exchanges and completions.

You will support fee earners, maintain files accurately, and contribute to business development activities while delivering a high standard of client service.

Qualifications

• Experience as a paralegal is essential, ideally within Commercial Property.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively deal with clients and provide a high level of service.
• Willingness to assist with networking and marketing.
• Be logical, organised and thorough.
• Knowledge of and competency in Information Technology.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Organisational skills.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Record time in accordance with the firm’s time recording policy.
• Prepare correspondence, documents and enclosures for despatch using the practice management system.
• Prepare draft contract documentation, submit searches, prepare stamp duty documentation, assist fee earners with enquiries, deal with exchange and completion formalities.
• Prepare financial statements for clients.
• Administer files: open, close, store and retrieve per department procedures.
• Make appointments, arrange meetings, book rooms for clients.
• Provide a high-quality, professional service to clients and staff in person or on the phone.
• Support the department's business development activities.
• Update data in the practice management system for clients, contacts and marketing.
• Ensure standards of quality and uphold the firm’s reputation.
