Overview

A leading manufacturer of specialist plastics is looking for a Commercial Project Manager to support the Head of Product and Application Development to lead the projects team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will play a critical part in delivering complex projects from estimation through to installation. Based in Coventry, you will benefit from a starting salary of up to £60,000 plus bonus and benefits.

Responsibilities
  • Managing the project lifecycle: planning, resources, risk, and stakeholder communication.
  • Leading and mentoring the Project Office team, fostering collaboration and performance.
  • Aligning project delivery with commercial strategy and financial targets.
  • Coordinating production handovers and ensuring manufacturing meets quality and timelines.
  • Acting as primary contact for clients, resolving issues and managing project changes.
  • Overseeing supply chain and subcontractor performance to ensure compliance and value.
  • Driving continuous improvement and contributing to strategic planning.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Delivery of full-cycle projects from estimation to site installation.
  • Strong site operations knowledge: logistics, HSE, contractor management.
  • Management of cross-functional teams across design, engineering, and production.
  • Familiarity with production engineering principles.
  • Team leadership and staff development.
  • Skilled in planning, scheduling, and resource coordination.
  • Commercially aware: budgeting, cost control, profitability.
  • Detail-focused with strong documentation and reporting.
