Job summary

TXM Recruit is seeking an experienced Commercial Plumber / Pipefitter for nationwide installation projects across the UK. The role includes a fully expensed company van, fuel card, and covered travel expenses, with a secure permanent position.

The ideal candidate will install commercial plumbing systems, assist HVAC installations, and ensure work meets high quality and safety standards while coordinating with site managers and clients.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence is mandatory.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Ability to pass basic site security clearance (no spent or unspent criminal convictions).

Responsibilities

• Install commercial mechanical plumbing, pipework, and heating systems.
• Assist with core HVAC installations and related mechanical plant room works.
• Diagnose faults and rectify plumbing and pipework defects.
• Ensure all installations meet quality and safety standards.
• Liaise with site managers, clients, and resource controllers.

TXM Recruit is currently partnering with a premier, award-winning organisation based in the West Midlands. Due to massive project wins and continuous growth, we are seeking a qualified Commercial Plumber / Mechanical Installation Engineer to join an expanding, highly skilled team.

This position offers long-term job security, a fully expensed company van, fuel card, and excellent earning potential with all working-away expenses completely covered.

The Role & Travel Requirements

This is an installation-heavy role focusing on large-scale commercial and industrial mechanical plumbing and pipefitting projects across the UK, alongside sporadic reactive maintenance.

• Nationwide Travel: You must be comfortable working away from home during the week (Monday to Friday).
• Location: Candidates must live within a 30-minute commute of the company headquarters in Sutton Coldfield (ideal locations include Birmingham, Tamworth, Lichfield, etc.) for vehicle management and team dispatch.

Key Duties:

• Installation of commercial mechanical plumbing, pipework, and heating systems.
• Assisting with core HVAC installations and associated mechanical plant room works.
• Diagnosing, fault-finding, and rectifying plumbing and pipework defects.
• Ensuring all installations conform to the highest quality and safety standards.
• Liaising professionally with site managers, clients, and resource controllers.

Work Schedule:

• Monday to Friday (40 hours per week / 8 hours per day).
• No weekend work required as standard.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Essential:

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to pass basic site security clearance (No spent or unspent criminal convictions).

Desirable (High Value):

• Experience with commercial HVAC systems.
• Valid Gas Safe tickets (Commercial or Domestic Gas).
• Valid CSCS Card (Blue or Gold Skilled card preferred).
