Job summary

Engineering Personnel Ltd seeks an experienced Commercial Plumber / Pipefitter to join a growing mechanical services contractor in the Yorkshire region. You will travel to commercial sites to install and service hot and cold water systems, plant rooms and related components.

NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing & Heating is required, along with a full UK driving licence and a professional approach in occupied sites. Benefits include a company van with private use, pension, sick pay, 23 days holiday plus bank

Qualifications

• Experience as Commercial Plumber or Pipefitter in commercial or plant room projects.
• Professional approach when working within occupied commercial properties.
• Based in/within commutable area to Yorkshire.

Responsibilities

• Travel to commercial sites across Yorkshire and surrounding areas.
• Carry out commercial plumbing across small works projects.
• Install plumbing works for plant room retrofit projects.
• Install hot/cold water systems, radiators, valves and associated components.
• Carry out first and second fix plumbing and mechanical installation works.
• Travel UK-wide when required for small works and project works.

Commercial Plumber / Pipefitter

Our client is a growing and forward-thinking mechanical services contractor specialising in plant room services, M&E projects, commercial mechanical maintenance, domestic heating-based plumbing, and mechanical installation works. They have built a strong reputation for technical quality, reliability, and delivering practical engineering solutions across commercial and domestic environments.

Due to ongoing expansion, our client have two separate positions available, they are seeking an experienced Commercial Plumber and / or Pipefitter to join their team in the Yorkshire region. Daily duties will be biased towards the applicants experience.

Commercial Plumber / Pipefitter Responsibilities

• Travel throughout the Yorkshire, and surrounding areas to attend commercial sites.
• Carry out commercial plumbing across various small works projects
• Carry out commercial plumbing installation for larger plant room retrofit based projects
• Install hot and cold water systems, radiators, valves, pipework, cylinders, tanks, immersions, and associated components.
• Installation of pipework / plumbing associated to plant room systems
• Carry out plant room replacement works and commercial mechanical upgrades.
• Install and replace pipework, radiators, cylinders, hot water systems, pumps, booster sets, boilers, tanks, valves, immersions, and associated components.
• Carry out 1st and 2nd fix commercial plumbing and mechanical installation works.
• Travel UK-wide when required for small works and project works.
• Support small works, project works, and occasional commercial new build projects.

Commercial Plumber / Pipefitter Requirements

• Experience working as a Commercial Plumber, Wet Worker, Mechanical Installation Engineer, Pipefitter, or Mechanical Fitter.
• NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing and Heating / Heating and Ventilation, or equivalent.
• Professional approach when working within occupied commercial properties
• Based in North Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, East Yorkshire, or West Yorkshire
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Commercial Plumber / Pipefitter Remuneration

• Salary of £42,000 - £60,000 (£20-23ph PAYE or £27-28ph sub-contract)
• Travel pay after 15 minutes.
• Monday to Friday working week.
• Standard working hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm.
• Overtime available.
• Overnight allowance of £35 per night where required.
• Company van, including private use.
