We are seeking a strategic and commercially driven individual tojoin our client, who is a respected global market analysis firm, as aCommercial Director . This pivotal role focuses ondriving revenue growth, improving commercial efficiency, and ensuringcost-effective operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Revenue Growth :Collaborate with sales and analyst teams to identify high-potentialprospects, refine pricing strategies, and optimize product portfolios.
Commercial Process Improvement :Lead management accounting and reporting, improve CRM data accuracy,and enhance account management practices.
Revenue Protection : Identify and address areas of revenueleakage, such as inconsistent pricing and renewal gaps.
Cost Management : Monitor expenditureand support cost-saving initiatives, particularly in discretionaryspend areas.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a senior commercial or businessoperations role.
Strong commercial acumen with atrack record of driving revenue and managing costs effectively.
Background in a subscriptions-based orresearch-driven business , with a strong understanding ofrecurring revenue models.
Experience working in asmall to medium-sized business (SMB) environment,demonstrating adaptability and hands-on leadership.
Experienced in managing a senior sales team, providing strategic guidance and accountability forperformance.
Proven experience of managinga full profit and loss (P&L) , with deep understanding ofrevenue and cost drivers.
Strong analytical skillswith experience in management accounting, reporting, and pricingstrategy.
Proficiency with business tools such asSalesforce (or similar CRM platforms) and Xero (or equivalent accounting systems).
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, cross-functionalworking style.
Proactive and detail-oriented, withthe ability to identify inefficiencies and growth opportunities.
