Job summary

About The Role

An opportunity to join the IT Services team as a Commercial Officer within the IT Professional Services team.

You will be part of a small team working closely together, supporting the Senior Commercial Officer in managing and delivering the commercial activities of the Council’s IT Service, including supply chain, procurement, and commercial contract management.

You will ensure that financial processes are completed accurately and within timescales, and that budgets are monitored, maintained, and reported on. All activities will align with the Council's corporate objectives and values.

About You

• Educated to A level standard, ideally with a qualification in finance, procurement, and/or supply chain management or equivalent experience.
• You will have comprehensive knowledge of public sector procurement legislation.
• You will possess excellent communication and relationship-building skills to engage effectively with Council services, partners, new customers, and suppliers.
• You will have a good understanding of the role IT plays in a large organisation.
