Job summary

Balfour Beatty Scotland seeks an experienced Commercial Manager to lead the commercial and contractual management for the Cambushinnie 400kV Substation project near Braco. You will shape strategies, manage subcontractors and forecast financial performance to protect margins.

You will collaborate with project teams across engineering, construction and framework delivery, ensuring governance, BIM data usage and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience within substations, utilities, energy, transmission or major civil engineering infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial and contractual management of the Cambushinnie civils packages.
• Develop commercial strategies aligned with project objectives and margins.
• Monitor cost reporting, forecasting, valuations and cost-to-complete assessments.
• Lead subcontract procurement, tendering and contract administration.
• Ensure subcontract accounts are managed in line with terms.
• Support cash flow, payment applications and change control.
• Collaborate with project teams on progress reviews and risk.
• Ensure compliance with governance and safety standards.
