Job summary

Eden Brown is partnering with a leading London workplace design and fit-out specialist to appoint a Commercial Manager / Quantity Surveyor who will support the delivery of workplace projects across London.

This is a true delivery-focused role where you’ll own commercial aspects from ongoing projects, manage budgets and cashflow, prepare valuations, negotiate variations, and drive final accounts, with hybrid working and a salary up to £70,000 plus bonus and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Project QS, Senior QS or Commercial Manager within fit out, interiors, refurbishment or construction.
• Strong knowledge of project delivery, cost management and contract administration.
• Experience managing valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Commercially astute with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Able to build effective relationships with clients, consultants and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Taking commercial ownership of multiple workplace fit out and refurbishment projects through the delivery phase.
• Managing project budgets, cost control, forecasting and cashflow.
• Preparing and agreeing client valuations and applications for payment.
• Assessing, pricing and negotiating project variations with clients and delivery teams.
• Producing monthly cost reports and providing commercial insight to senior stakeholders.
• Managing final accounts and ensuring projects are closed out successfully.
• Identifying commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Supporting Project Managers and Construction Managers with commercial decision-making.
• Building strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Ensuring projects are delivered profitably while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.

I'm working with one of London's most respected workplace design and fit out specialists, a business that's built its reputation by doing things differently. Rather than separating design and delivery, they bring both together under one roof, creating workplaces that are as commercially successful as they are visually impressive. With a client base spanning occupiers, landlords and developers, they've delivered projects ranging from high-end headquarters and flexible workspaces through to large-scale refurbishment and fit out schemes. A significant proportion of their work comes from repeat business, reflecting the quality of both their people and project delivery.

As the business continues to grow, they're looking to appoint a Commercial Manager / Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of workplace projects across London.

This is a true delivery-focused commercial role. Rather than getting involved solely at tender stage, you'll take ownership once projects are won, working closely alongside Project Managers, Construction Managers and clients to manage costs, control risk and maximise project performance through to final account.
