Fawkes & Reece London is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor to join a Central London fit-out contractor renowned for complex interior refurbishments. You will oversee commercial performance, review scopes and trade packages, and manage subcontractor and supplier packages on CAT B style projects with values up to several millions.

Applicants should have strong experience in commercial office fit-outs, valuations, variations and cost control, plus the ability to work with clients and senior management

Qualifications

• Experience as Quantity Surveyor in fit-out, refurbishment or commercial construction.
• Strong experience managing subcontractor packages from procurement through to final account.
• Good understanding of commercial office fit-out projects.
• Experience with valuations, variations, CVRs, forecasting and cost control.
• Strong negotiation and subcontractor management skills.
• Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Ability to work closely with project teams, clients and senior management.
• Proactive approach with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• A relevant Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management qualification is desirable.

Amazing new opportunity to join a well - respected fitout contractor based in Central London.

About the role of Quantity Surveyor

We are currently working with a huge reputable fitout contractor. They have a great turnover of over 15mill. They specialise in corporate office design, complex interior refurbishments, workplace strategy and commercial construction projects. An example of a project is a CAT B project in central London with a value of up to 10 mill.

Responsibilities for Quantity Surveyor

• Managing the commercial performance of fit-out and refurbishment projects.
• Reviewing project scope, drawings, specifications and trade packages.
• Procuring and managing subcontractor and supplier packages.
• Preparing and analysing tender enquiries and quotations.
• Negotiating subcontract orders and commercial terms.
