Randstad NV in London seeks an experienced Commercial Manager / Quantity Surveyor for high-profile commercial office fit-out projects. You will drive commercial delivery from concept to final account, collaborating with design, pre-construction and site teams to protect margin and ensure successful project outcomes.

The role requires a solid track record in London office refurbishments, strong cost control skills, and the ability to manage multiple large packages and final accounts.

Formación

• 3+ years experience as Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager in London office fit-out/refurbishment.
• Proven track record delivering schemes up to £3m+ to high standards.
• Solid CV history with tenure in previous roles.

Responsabilidades

• Manage full commercial delivery on office fit-out schemes up to £3m–£5m.
• Collaborate with pre-construction, design and site delivery teams from concept to final account.
• Procure trade packages, analyze scope and negotiate terms.
• Produce monthly CVRs and cash flow forecasts; manage internal cost targets (target 30% gross margin).
• Oversee valuations, variations, payments, and final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
• Hold early, transparent commercial conversations to resolve issues with clients and subcontractors.

POSITION OVERVIEW

A market leading London workplace design and build specialist (£140m+ turnover) is looking for an established Commercial Manager / Quantity Surveyor to join their delivery teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage full commercial delivery on commercial office fit out schemes up to £3m to £5m.
• Work collaboratively with pre con, design, and site delivery teams from concept to final account.
• Procure trade packages, conduct thorough scope analysis, and negotiate robust terms.
• Produce monthly CVRs, cash flow forecasts, and manage internal cost targets (consistently targeting 30% gross margin).
• Oversee valuations, variations, payment applications, and settle client and subcontractor final accounts.
• Hold difficult commercial conversations early and transparently with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to resolve issues without delay.

REQUIREMENTS

• Background: 3+ years experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager within London commercial fit out (D&B or Refurbishment).
• Track Record: Verifiable evidence of commercially pitching and/or delivering schemes up to £3m+ to high standards.
• Stability: Solid CV history with a minimum of 2 to 3 years tenure in at least one previous employer (no unverified job hopping).
• Education: Degree educated (Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or Construction) or equivalent industry experience.
• Character: Accountable, high energy, collaborative, and someone who takes full ownership of outcomes rather than passing problems along.
