Salary: Circa £550 p/d outside ir35 depending on experience
Opportunity:
Manage Contract delivery in a post-contract award environment working on a massive infrastructure construction framework, specifically the NEC4 ECC Option C.

The Commercial Manager will manage the day-to-day commercial needs of our projects. Using skills, knowledge, and experience, you will provide expert advice, manage & monitor all processes, procedures, and negotiations related to contract and client performance, ensuring all legislative and contract requirements are met.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Extensive experience in post-contract award delivery
- Preparation and management of project budgets and reconciliation / avoidance of compensation events
- Oversee the commercial and contractual management aspects of projects alongside the Project Manager
- Review and advise on Contracts, manage risks, and maximize operational performance, including early warnings and notifications
- Procure Subcontracts and oversee their commercial and contractual management
- Lead negotiations with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to achieve favorable outcomes and resolve disputes
- Stay updated with industry best practices, legislative changes, and emerging trends in commercial management
- Monitor performance of commercial activities using key metrics; prepare reports for senior management and Board
- Prepare monthly applications and manage forecasts to meet targets, working with finance to manage cash flow
- Produce accurate monthly CVRs in collaboration with Project Managers, consolidate into management accounts with Finance and Commercial Director
- Negotiate final accounts with clients and subcontractors
- Represent stakeholders at meetings and events
- Coordinate with other departments and senior management to achieve strategic and operational goals
- Perform any other duties relevant to the role
Requirements:
- 10-15 years of experience in a Senior Quantity Surveyor/Commercial Management role
- Strong knowledge of commercial and financial principles, with analytical skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Proven track record in financial management and cost control
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects
- Understanding of risk analysis and early problem resolution
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook
- Willingness to travel across the UK as needed
