Job summary

JL Renewable Solutions is seeking a Commercial Manager to oversee a portfolio of electrical infrastructure and utilities projects across London/South East. You will drive commercial performance, manage CVRs and forecasts, and mitigate contractual risk while leading the commercial team.

Experience with NEC contracts and multi-project delivery is essential. The role offers a permanent position with salary up to 85,000 plus car allowance and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience managing infrastructure or engineering contracts.
• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts including compensation events and change management.
• Proven ability to manage CVRs, cashflow, forecasting and project profitability.
• Experience overseeing subcontractor accounts, procurement and final accounts.
• Strong commercial negotiation and risk management skills.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the commercial management of a portfolio of electrical infrastructure and utilities projects.
• Oversee project financial performance, ensuring profitability, cashflow and commercial objectives are achieved.
• Manage and review CVRs, forecasts, WIP and commercial reporting.
• Identify, assess and mitigate contractual and commercial risks.
• Manage NEC contracts and other relevant forms of contract, ensuring contractual obligations are met.
• Oversee variations, compensation events, early warnings, change control and commercial notices.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, commercial agreements, valuations and final accounts.
• Review and challenge project costs, budgets, cashflow and financial forecasts.
• Work closely with Project Managers and operational teams to support effective project delivery.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
• Support tender reviews, pricing activities and pre-construction commercial assessments.
• Provide commercial guidance and support to Quantity Surveyors and other members of the commercial team.
• Drive continuous improvement in commercial processes, reporting and contract management.
