S Guest Consultancy Services Ltd is recruiting a Commercial Manager - Housing in Wolverhampton for a senior role within the in-house construction team. The post focuses on high-value contracts, supplier relationships and shaping commercial strategy across repairs, maintenance and investment projects.

You will lead negotiations, drive value for money, manage performance data and support a small team while collaborating with site teams and senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience as Commercial Manager in construction, or at Senior Surveyor level and ready to step up.
• Experience managing multiple schemes, suppliers and high-value contracts.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, willing to undergo a Basic DBS check.

Commercial Manager - Housing

Location: Wolverhampton (hybrid, minimum 2 days a week in the office, plus travel across sites in the West Midlands and West of England)

Type: Permanent, full-time (40 hours)

The role

This is a senior commercial role within the in-house construction team. You'll take ownership of high-value contracts and key supplier relationships, making sure every contract delivers value, performance and innovation while keeping risk under control. Working across repairs, maintenance and investment teams, you'll shape commercial strategy, challenge existing ways of working and drive continuous improvement.

What you'll be doing

What we're looking for

• Experience as a Commercial Manager in construction, or at Senior Surveyor level and ready to step up
• A background in national housebuilding, with good knowledge of Building Regulations, NHBC and health and safety requirements
• Experience managing multiple schemes, suppliers and high-value contracts
• Strong negotiation skills and commercial judgement
• An understanding of housing repairs and planned maintenance
• Team leadership experience
• Able to turn data into clear, practical insight
• Confident, articulate communicator
• Full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle, and willing to undergo a Basic DBS check

Desirable

• Experience in housing repairs, maintenance or planned investment
• Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management
• Degree or equivalent experience
• CIPS Level 4, or a commitment to working towards procurement qualifications
