Overview

Commercial Manager - Europe/NAM — Would you like to create and develop proposals? Are you passionate about building relationships and ensuring customer success?
As part of the Flexible Pipe Systems Offshore team based in Newcastle UK, you will be joining an established business and team with expertise in pipe design, manufacturing, and installation. This unique combination allows our customers to increase production and asset integrity whilst reducing the overall costs associated with a pipeline system.
Partner with the best We're looking for a commercially sharp and strategically minded Commercial Manager to lead and support FPS Offshore bids and projects across Europe and North America. You'll be embedded from the early engagement phase, shaping win strategies, managing risk, and driving commercial excellence through bid submission, contract negotiation, and project mobilization.

Responsibilities
  • Lead commercial input from early engagement through bid submission, ensuring alignment with customer drivers and win strategy.
  • Own the Contract Negotiation phase and be responsible for closing deals to meet company requirements.
  • Own critical commercial aspects of bids: pricing, risk and opportunity management, key terms, and tollgate approvals.
  • Coordinate with proposal teams to meet all submission requirements and deadlines.
  • Drive tendering activities with support from Commercial Hubs, ensuring smooth transition from bid to execution.
  • Lead deal reviews and capture lessons learned to improve future performance.
  • Ensure strong stakeholder alignment and adherence to deal governance processes.
Qualifications
  • Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with proven years of experience in Sales). Additional years of experience in Proposals.
  • Have strong bid management, pricing, and contract negotiation skills
  • Have strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Have strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Be able to influence others and lead small teams.
  • Be able to lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
  • Have the ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
  • Be effective in problem identification and solution skills.
  • Have proven analytical and organizational ability.
