Job summary

Russell Taylor Group in Greater Manchester is seeking a Commercial Manager to lead the commercial team on high-end interiors and sub-contracting projects. You will manage costing, budgets and accounts for existing schemes and upcoming work, with responsibility for contract administration, sub-contracting and procurement, and mentoring junior QS.

Commercial Manager

My client is part of a large group that are expanding in their sub-contracting division. The position is due to overall project wins. That due to an increase in contract wins require a commercial manager to lead the commercial team. My client delivers projects for large blue-chip clients, working in commercial, education and healthcare these range from £200k up to £5m.

They specialise within Dry lining, SFS, Joinery and interior works. So would like a strong background in either of these sectors, with sub contracting understanding on pricing and packages.

The schemes they deliver are high end, high spec interiors. As a Commercial Manager, you will have proven history in commercial interiors and will be assisting the team in all commercial matters.

You will be responsible for costing and accounts of current projects, as well as some new projects due to start soon. You must have experience of cost budgeting, contract administration, sub-contract and procurement.

They are looking for experienced Commercial Manager candidates who are eager and wanting to progress and be part of team to make a difference. You will be hands on assisting and co ordinating other Quantity Surveyors and Senior Quantity Surveyors. Being a mentor and leading by example.

The expertise of projects can be varied its more ensuring they have the ability to run and lead project costing in organised and structured process similar to sub contractors.

Requirements

Additional Requirements to be considered for the role

• BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification preferably with a post graduate qualification in construction law, commercial or project management.
• Minimum of 10 years of post-graduate professional experience, at least 5 years within the construction industry
