MTRP Ltd, a market-leading building contractor in the North West, is recruiting a Commercial Manager. You will lead a 4–5 person Quantity Surveyor team across 2–4 major projects, liaising with clients from pre-construction through handover to ensure sound commercial performance.
You will ideally come from a Senior QS or Managing QS background seeking a step up, comfortable in a client-facing role, and based in the North West with hybrid working options.
We are working with a market leading building contractor whose head office is based in the North West of England. From here they work nationally and secure work through a combination of procurement frameworks on which they have a great degree of success and agood proportion of their workload comes from negotiation with pre-existing clients. Their profit margins are 3-4 times the industry norm, are cash-rich and have secured the majority of next years' turnover already so are in a great place. They are aware of their social responsibilities so encourage their staff to take part in volunteering days (both in the UK and abroad), provide gym membership and other wellbeing initiatives, workwith colleges to encourage the next generation into the industry and provide electric vehicles with charging points at their office.
They now have a new opportunity for someone to join their team at Commercial Manager level due to growth.
Managing a small team of 4/5 Quantity Surveyors, you will have commercial responsibility for between 2 and 4 projects.
You will work closely and collaboratively with their clients from preconstruction through to handover, provide support and guidance to your QSs.
They are open to recruiting someone currently working at Senior QS or Managing QS level looking for a step up in to a managerial role or someone who is already an established Commercial Manager.
