Job summary

Cognisant, working with a well-established housebuilder in the West Midlands, is seeking a Commercial Manager to drive the commercial performance across live and upcoming residential schemes.

You’ll report to the Commercial Director, collaborate with Construction, Technical and Finance, and own budgets, CVRs, cost-to-complete, procurement, risk, margin, reporting and forecasts, while supporting the QS team.

Qualifications

• Strong housebuilding background and experience at Commercial Manager level.

Responsibilities

• Manage budgets, CVRs and cost-to-complete.
• Oversee subcontract procurement and tendering.
• Manage commercial risk and margin.
• Produce cost reporting and forecasting.
• Support and lead the QS team.

The role will take responsibility for the commercial performance of a number of live and upcoming residential schemes across the region.

You’ll work closely with the Commercial Director and wider regional team, with responsibility across:

• Budgets, CVRs and cost-to-complete
• Subcontract procurement and tendering
• Commercial risk and margin
• Cost reporting and forecasting
• Managing and supporting the QS team
• Working closely with Construction, Technical and Finance

We’re looking for someone with a strong housebuilding background who is already operating at Commercial Manager level.
