TalkTalk partners with a number of external suppliers to ensure successful delivery of services. The extensive estate is supported by over 150 different supplier services, with annual expenditure in excess of £60m, across Technology, Operations, Products & Services. We maintain 20+ strategic Partner relationships that drive both short-term and long-term enhancements to the services we provide.
The ability for TalkTalk to ensure best value and performance from suppliers is therefore fundamental in delivering high-quality service to our stakeholders and customers, while also maintaining cost-effectiveness.
The Team
The Commercial Partnerships team comprises 3x Senior Business Partners. We have a culture of supporting each other as a team and delivering excellence.
The team works effectively with stakeholders at all levels to deliver value via cross-functional team engagement; linking existing requirements to future strategy and all underpinned by great supplier relationships.
Our business goals are to maximise supplier and contract value and ensure our strategy and execution are aligned across the entire organization.
The role of Senior Commercial Business Partner will successfully establish and maintain strategic & operational alignment, ensuring that the TalkTalk estate effectively delivers both current and future business needs.
You will lead engagements, acting as a single point of contact for senior stakeholders and facilitating relationships. You will influence and challenge to ensure that stakeholders' requirements are captured, provided for, and the financial implications modeled, mapped, and understood.
You will manage the pipeline of renewals and initiate tender processes, aligning delivery with budgets and strategy to successfully negotiate new deals. You will support with the negotiation of multi-million pound contracts, acting as the Commercial contact. Your gravitas and strong interpersonal and presentation skills will enable you to influence and challenge senior stakeholders and supplier account management to meet business goals.
You will be required to create business cases of significant value and present them to senior stakeholders to deliver strategic objectives, as well as driving forward the approval of decisions made by senior stakeholders.
You will foster collaboration between TalkTalk and its suppliers, ensuring positive and effective relationships across the supply chain. You will implement processes and controls for benchmarking, supplier analysis, and effectiveness assessment, ensuring service quality meets contractual commitments and business needs.
You will manage existing commercial engagements with Key Strategic Partners, building strong relationships to add value and ensure accountability. You will negotiate and resolve contractual issues, lead change control processes, and drive continuous improvement programs, developing strategies and incentives to enhance performance and conduct financial evaluations.
You will own supplier annual spend, cost optimisation, and contractual performance for your business area and where needed, initiate and support performance improvement plans, transition plans, and exit strategies. You will develop financial planning processes and standards to support the execution of business strategy within your defined areas and promote adoption and adherence.
You must have strong experience within a Technology company or Telco. Experience managing partners and suppliers in the Technology, Operations or Products & Services business units would be a major plus point, as well as experience commercially managing suppliers and partners of all sizes.
