Job descriptionWe are currently recruiting for a
Commercial Manager based in our Avonmouth office. They will provide leadership, Commercial oversight and control to ensure delivery of projects in line with client-side commercial arrangements in line with company strategy and both operational and financial targets.
Framatome Ltd's Commercial Manager will ensure projects costs are planned and delivered in line with agreed contractual obligations and expectations with the intention to create a positive and collaborative client relationship.
The Commercial manager provides contract management, oversight and reporting to ensure delivery of projects in line with client-side commercial arrangements. Including the management and administration of contract notices, contract changes, and other financial processes in a timely manner.
The Commercial manager holds key project relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients on all aspects of their allocated contract(s) and is a key part of the project team. The Commercial manager ensures the project and contracts are compliant with Framatome ltd processes whilst also championing delivery of performance against safety/ quality/ delivery/ innovation/ cost.
Key Activities:- Ensure all Commercial processes (including Procurement) are followed
- Reviewing and contributing to process development to improve and maximise growth
- Ensure that the organisation complies with the contract obligations as stated
- Communicates with parties in a contract, so that all understand the terms, particularly the contracts financial aspects
- Administer contracts in a timely manner - EWN/ CEs/ AFP/ invoicing etc.
- Coach employees on best practices for managing contract issues and handling daily issues and tasks
- Taking responsibility for the financial management of the project's
- Nurtures relationships with project teams internal and external
- Support contract strategy discussions during the opportunity phase
- Support bid development on commercial delivery aspects and highlight risk
- Involvement in negotiating and agreeing contracts
- Accepts extra duties as situations arise
ProfileRequired Attributes:
- Qualified to degree level in relevant discipline.
- Experience working in a contract manager / commercial manage role on large contracts
- Experience in Complex negotiations & stakeholder management
- Knowledge of Contract terms and conditions
Desired Attributes:
- ERP system knowledge (preferably SAP)
- Knowledge of the Nuclear Industry &/or Manufacturing
- Knowledge of NEC/ JCT/ FIDIC terms and conditions and interpreting bespoke conditions of contracts
- Knowledge of sales/ proposals processes
- Experience in understanding corporate finance/ cash flow
