Job summary

MacGregor Black is partnering with a leading consumer business to appoint a Management Accountant on a 12-month contract. You will join a well-established finance team, providing accurate financial insight and partnering with budget holders to support decision-making.

The role focuses on management accounting, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting and commercial analysis to drive performance. ACA/ACCA/CIMA or strong part-qualified candidates considered, with advanced Excel and Power BI

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, or strong part-qualified candidates will be considered.
• Experience in management accounting, commercial finance or FP&A.
• Strong business partnering skills with the confidence to engage and influence stakeholders at different levels.
• A commercially curious mindset, able to interpret financial information and communicate clear recommendations.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills; Power BI and ERP system experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Partnering with stakeholders across the business, providing financial insight and constructive challenge to support performance.
• Preparing management accounts, analysing variances and identifying key trends, risks and opportunities.
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Reviewing sales orderbooks, contributing to flash forecasts and developing scenario analysis.
• Producing commercial analysis and investment appraisals to inform business decisions.
• Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting and controls.
• Supporting audit requirements and wider Finance team activities.
