Job summary

Flint Bishop in Leeds is seeking a Solicitor/Associate with at least 2 PQE in Commercial Litigation to join our Commercial Dispute Resolution team. The role involves managing a personal caseload and supporting on more complex matters with senior colleagues.

You will liaise directly with clients to ensure high levels of client care, and contribute to business development while maintaining accurate time records in Tikit.

Qualifications

• Have at least 2 PQE in Commercial Litigation.
• Able to manage your own caseload of complex client matters.
• Demonstrate excellent commitment to client care and good technical ability.
• Excellent time management and ability to work to tight deadlines with your caseload.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Sound knowledge of IT systems and processes, such as the Microsoft suite.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of commercial litigation matters including contractual disputes, property disputes, landlord & tenant disputes, professional negligence disputes and debt recovery.
• Support on more complex matters alongside senior team members.
• Keep matters up to date in systems and communicate updates to clients and team.
• Record all time in the Tikit system, including non-billable activities.
• Take responsibility for managing the client experience and attend client meetings as needed.
• Contribute to business development for the department.
• Support departmental audits and take on additional tasks as required by the Head of Commercial Dispute Resolution.
• Conduct legal research when required; demonstrate meticulous attention to detail.
