William James Recruitment is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate/Senior Associate for its Birmingham City Centre office with hybrid working. The role offers £65,000 to £95,000 plus bonus and benefits, with a clear path for progression in a modern, ambitious firm.

You will handle a broad mix of disputes, advise on shareholder and director matters, and contribute to client relationships and business development within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ PQE in Commercial Litigation
• Strong technical expertise across commercial disputes
• Experience with regional or national firms, preferably West Midlands

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of Commercial Litigation matters, including contract disputes
• Advise on shareholder, partnership, and director disputes
• Handle matters from instruction to resolution, including litigation and ADR
• Draft pleadings and documentation across Commercial Litigation cases
• Provide commercially focused, pragmatic advice to clients
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Attend client meetings, negotiations and court hearings with advocacy opportunities
• Support business development and contribute to Birmingham team growth
