Our client, a leading Top 50 UK City law firm is seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Solicitor for a 12-month fixed‑term contract basis starting in January 2026. This is a unique opportunity to join a highly regarded disputes team handling complex, high-value litigation in the English Commercial Courts.

About the Role

You will play a key role in managing major, multi‑party litigation involving high‑value commercial disputes. The work is challenging, fast‑paced, and intellectually stimulating, requiring a solicitor who can take ownership and lead on critical aspects of the case.

You will gain exposure to complex, high‑profile disputes that have attracted significant attention in the commercial litigation space. You will work closely with leading barristers and a highly experienced team.

The role:

Acting as a senior point of contact within the litigation team.
Managing procedural deadlines and ensuring compliance with court requirements.
Drafting pleadings, correspondence, and strategic case documents.
Giving instructions to counsel and liaising with experts.
Overseeing disclosure obligations and evidence preparation.
Attending case management conferences and trials.
Collaborating with partners and senior consultants on strategy and execution.

About You:

Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 10+ years PQE.
Strong academic background.
Significant experience in commercial litigation within the English Commercial Courts.
Ability to manage complex and fluid disputes, taking full responsibility for cases.
Technical expertise in:
Drafting pleadings and correspondence.
Instructing counsel.
Handling expert and factual evidence.
Attending case management conferences and trials.
Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
Excellent client relationship‑building and engagement skills.
