Overview

Job Title: Dispute Resolution Solicitor (NQ – 4 PQE)

Location: Manchester (Office-Based / Hybrid)

Job Type: Full-Time

I’m currently working with a growing and dynamic commercial law firm in Manchester who are looking to expand their Litigation & Dispute Resolution team with the hire of a junior solicitor.

This is an excellent opportunity for an NQ to 4-year PQE Solicitor with experience in commercial disputes who’s looking to work in a highly collaborative, forward-thinking environment. The firm acts for a broad mix of clients including SMEs, directors, insolvency practitioners and professional advisors, often on complex and high-value matters.

The Commercial Litigation Duties

• Managing a caseload of commercial litigation matters, with appropriate supervision where required
• Handling a mix of contractual disputes, shareholder and partnership disputes, professional negligence claims, debt recovery, and enforcement
• Supporting senior fee earners on larger, more complex disputes and contentious insolvency matters
• Attending client meetings, preparing legal documents, conducting legal research, and handling pre-action correspondence
• Getting involved in business development and building long-term relationships with clients and referrers

About you

• A qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with between 0–4 years PQE
• Experience in commercial litigation or dispute resolution, ideally gained from a commercial or regional firm
• Excellent communication and drafting skills, with strong attention to detail
• Commercially minded with a client-focused approach
• Comfortable working as part of a team and willing to take on responsibility early on
• Based within commutable distance to Manchester – hybrid working available
