Job summary

Sellick Partnership is recruiting a Commercial Litigation Solicitor for a prestigious, Legal 500-ranked firm in Lincoln. The role involves managing a broad range of contentious matters, including contractual disputes, partnership issues, insolvency, and probate-related litigation.

You will handle ADR, attend hearings, and support business development to grow a personal client portfolio. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years' PQE, extensive experience across commercial litigation, and strong CPR

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR).
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage a diverse and complex caseload independently.
• Commercial awareness with strategic contributions to the team.

Responsibilities

Sellick Partnership is excited to be working with a Legal 500 ranked firm that is seeking an experienced Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join their highly regarded and growing Commercial Litigation team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a broad and varied caseload of commercial litigation matters, including contractual disputes, partnership and shareholder disagreements, insolvency claims, and contentious probate.
• Handling matters involving alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration.
• Attending hearings, mediations, and client meetings, and representing clients in court where appropriate.
• Playing an active role in business development, including client retention, networking, and growing your own portfolio of work.

The successful candidate:

• 3-5 years' PQE as a Commercial Litigation Solicitor
• Has substantial experience across a broad spectrum of commercial litigation work.
• Demonstrates excellent knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and strong drafting and negotiation skills.
• Has a proven ability to manage a diverse and often complex caseload independently.
• Shows commercial awareness and the ability to contribute strategically to the team and firm.
