Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a well-established law firm in Hull for an experienced Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join its Disputes and Regulatory team. The role targets solicitors with 3+ PQE and offers exposure to high‑value, complex disputes.

You will manage a varied caseload, advise diverse clients, and develop your technical expertise in civil procedure, strategy and dispute resolution within a supportive firm environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with at least 3 years PQE in commercial litigation.
• Experience managing commercial disputes independently.
• Strong understanding of civil procedure and dispute resolution.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of commercial litigation matters.
• Handle contractual and commercial disputes, shareholder disputes, and debt recovery.
• Advise clients on litigation strategy, settlements, and ADR.
• Prepare pleadings, witness statements, and court applications.
• Attend court hearings and liaise with external counsel.
• Maintain accurate time recording and sound billing.
• Keep up to date with legislation and developments in commercial litigation.

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established law firm in Hull for an experienced Commercial Litigation Solicitor to join its growing Disputes and Regulatory team. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with at least 3 years ' post-qualification experience to work on a varied caseload of complex, high-value commercial disputes. You will advise a diverse client base, including owner-managed businesses, national corporations, public sector organisations and high-net-worth individuals.

Salary: £46,000-£65,000 per annum, depending on experience

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

You will join a highly regarded Commercial Litigation team recognised for providing strategic, commercially focused legal advice on complex and business-critical disputes. The role offers excellent opportunities to develop your technical expertise, build strong client relationships and contribute to the continued growth of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of commercial litigation matters from initial instruction through to resolution.
• Handle contractual and commercial disputes, shareholder and partnership disputes, professional negligence claims, commercial fraud, injunctions and debt recovery.
• Advise clients on litigation strategy, settlement options, mediation and alternative dispute resolution.
• Prepare legal documents, pleadings, witness statements, court applications and other relevant correspondence.
• Attend court hearings and undertake advocacy where appropriate, or instruct and liaise with external counsel.
• Maintain accurate time recording, effective case management and sound billing practices.
• Keep up to date with relevant legislation, case law and developments in commercial litigation and dispute resolution.

About You

• A qualified Solicitor with at least 3 years PQE in commercial litigation or a closely related area.
• Experience managing commercial disputes independently, from instruction through to settlement or trial.
• A strong understanding of civil procedure, litigation strategy and dispute resolution.
• Experience dealing with contractual disputes, shareholder disputes, professional negligence, debt recovery or other complex commercial matters.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, analytical and communication skills.
