Your role
As a Commercial Lines Pricing Manager, you will be responsible for delivering actuarial analysis, including product pricing, risk modelling, corporate planning, reinsurance, and establishing adequate claims reserves and/or underwriting analysis. A key part of the role will be to lead, develop, and motivate a team of pricing experts, ensuring the timely and accurate provision of analysis, pricing models, and actions to meet strategy and targets for a portfolio or set of accounts. You will support the Senior Pricing Manager and/or Director in developing the portfolio strategy. Additionally, you will represent your team at relevant meetings and boards, working with the wider CUO function and P&L to communicate findings and support their implementation.
What you'll need to succeed
You should have a strong knowledge of general insurance, along with actuarial or relevant pricing experience. Commercial Lines experience is advantageous. You should have previous experience in Risk Modelling and possess extensive technology and numeracy skills (Excel, Emblem, Radar, VBA, R, Alteryx, etc). Experience managing end-to-end modelling projects from data building to implementation is preferred. An interest in Machine Learning and a passion for technology and problem-solving are desirable. Previous management experience is advantageous.
