Job summary

Epicurium Ltd is seeking a commercially sharp, hands-on leader who can improve gross profit, release cash from stock and build outstanding partnerships with challenger and emerging brands that make our business distinctive.

This role sits in a small, developing Buying and Purchasing function; you will lead in the detail when required and create the disciplines, team and supplier relationships we need for the next growth phase.

Qualifications

• Substantial buying, procurement or commercial experience in food/FMCG, wholesale, distribution or foodservice.
• Highly numerate on margin, cash, stock and supplier economics.
• Ability to balance strategy with hands-on operational work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver measurable gross-profit improvement through intelligent sourcing and disciplined buying.
• Release cash from excess or slow-moving stock while maintaining availability.
• Improve forecasting, purchasing controls and supplier performance; consolidate orders.
• Build relationships with challenger and emerging brands and spot exclusivity or distribution opportunities.
• Lead and develop the Buying and Purchasing function, with hands-on involvement when needed.
