Lloyd & Whyte, proudly part of Benefact Group, is seeking a Commercial Insurance Consultant in Taunton to build strong relationships with commercial clients and provide expert insurance solutions.

You will support clients through renewals, tailor advice, and work with insurers to secure cover while driving growth and exceptional service across sectors.

Qualifications

• Experience in general insurance, preferably commercial.
• Qualified with Chartered Insurance Institute certification (CII).
• Strong communication and organisational skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive renewal service to retain clients.
• Build relationships and provide tailored insurance advice.
• Manage portfolio of commercial clients including renewals and queries.
• Collaborate with insurers and underwriting to secure suitable cover.
• Identify opportunities to grow client relationships and drive growth.

Salary:Up to £35,000.00 OTE (depending on experience)

About the role

Lloyd & Whyte, who are proudly part of Benefact Group, are looking for a Commercial Insurance Consultant to join our Affinity General Insuranceteam in their Taunton office.

As a Commercial Insurance Consultant, you will build strong relationships with a wide range of commercial clients, providing expert advice and tailored insurance solutions to help protect their businesses.

Our client base spans a variety of sectors, including dental practices, GP surgeries, medical associations and other commercial organisations, giving you exposure to a diverse range of insurance risks and requirements.

You’ll support clients throughout their insurance journey, delivering outstanding service, managing renewals, identifying opportunities to meet their evolving needs, and playing a key role in maintaining high levels of client satisfaction, retention and business growth.

What you'll be doing

• Providing a proactive and responsive renewal service using best endeavours to retain clients at renewal through promotion of key selling features and effective liaison with insurers

• Building strong relationships with clients, understanding their businesses and insurance requirements, and providing tailored advice and solutions.

• Managing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, handling renewals, mid term adjustments, policy administration and client queries efficiently and accurately.

• Working closely with insurers and our in house underwriting team to negotiate terms and secure suitable cover that meets clients' needs and delivers value.

• Identifying opportunities to strengthen client relationships, maximise business growth and deliver an exceptional customer experience at every stage of the client journey.

What you'll need to have

• Previous general insurance experience (preferably within Commercial insurance)

• Chartered Insurance Institute Certificate in Insurance qualification

• Confidence and capability of building rapport over the telephone to provide an excellent client experience

• Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage a varied workload and attention to detail.

• A proactive and positive approach, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, a genuine desire to help clients and a focus on contributing to business growth.
