Job summary

Lloyd & Whyte, part of Benefact Group, seeks a Commercial Insurance Consultant in Taunton to build strong relationships with a diverse client base and provide expert insurance solutions for businesses.

You will manage renewals, liaise with insurers and our underwriting team, and contribute to client satisfaction, retention and growth in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Previous general insurance experience, preferably Commercial insurance.
• CII Certificate in Insurance qualification.
• Confident in telephone-based client interactions and building rapport.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills with ability to manage a varied workload.
• Proactive, positive approach in a fast-paced environment and a focus on business growth.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive renewal service to retain clients at renewal.
• Build strong relationships and offer tailored insurance advice.
• Manage a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, renewals and policy admin.
• Collaborate with insurers and in-house underwriting to negotiate terms and cover.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships and drive growth.

Salary: Up to £35,000.00 OTE (depending on experience)

Working hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday

About The Role

As a Commercial Insurance Consultant, you will build strong relationships with a wide range of commercial clients, providing expert advice and tailored insurance solutions to help protect their businesses.

Our client base spans a variety of sectors, including dental practices, GP surgeries, medical associations and other commercial organisations, giving you exposure to a diverse range of insurance risks and requirements.

You’ll support clients throughout their insurance journey, delivering outstanding service, managing renewals, identifying opportunities to meet their evolving needs, and playing a key role in maintaining high levels of client satisfaction, retention and business growth.

What you'll be doing

• Providing a proactive and responsive renewal service using best endeavours to retain clients at renewal through promotion of key selling features and effective liaison with insurers
• Building strong relationships with clients, understanding their businesses and insurance requirements, and providing tailored advice and solutions.
• Managing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, handling renewals, mid term adjustments, policy administration and client queries efficiently and accurately.
• Working closely with insurers and our in house underwriting team to negotiate terms and secure suitable cover that meets clients' needs and delivers value.
• Identifying opportunities to strengthen client relationships, maximise business growth and deliver an exceptional customer experience at every stage of the client journey.

What you’ll need to have

• Previous general insurance experience (preferably within Commercial insurance)
• Chartered Insurance Institute Certificate in Insurance qualification
• Confidence and capability of building rapport over the telephone to provide an excellent client experience
• Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage a varied workload and attention to detail.
• A proactive and positive approach, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, a genuine desire to help clients and a focus on contributing to business growth.
