Job Description:

Commercial Insurance Account Handler - Maternity cover 12-month FTC

Based on the outskirts of Bromsgrove; must be able to drive. The role will be hybrid after training.

Are you an experienced insurance professional passionate about delivering exceptional client service? We’re looking for a Commercial Insurance Account Handler to join our team in Bromsgrove.

Our client is a well-established insurance company known for providing tailored insurance solutions to businesses across various sectors. They value professionalism, client care, and industry knowledge, making them a trusted partner.

As a Commercial Account Handler, you will provide comprehensive commercial insurance services to new and existing clients, including handling personal insurance requirements of connected commercial clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assisting Account Executives in managing a portfolio of commercial clients
  • Preparing and processing renewals, mid-term adjustments, and new business quotations
  • Liaising with insurers to negotiate terms
  • Providing high-quality, compliant customer service
  • Supporting Account Executives and maintaining accurate client records
  • Handling quotations and negotiations with underwriters
Skills and Experience:
  • Proven experience in commercial insurance handling
  • Good knowledge of commercial insurance products (property, liability, fleet, professional indemnity); Motor Trade experience is advantageous
  • Acturis experience essential
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, ideally with sales experience
  • Attention to detail and proactive, client-first attitude
