Job summary

Portakabin in Leeds is seeking a Commercial Manager to drive sales and order-winning activities across Yorkshire. You will lead a team to achieve commercial targets, promote Portakabin products and services, and deliver an excellent customer experience.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent commercial experience.
• GCSEs including maths and English.
• Experience in managing and developing commercial teams.
• Background in B2B sales with a track record of delivering results.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
• Proven ability to manage a wide customer account base.
• Ability to identify and convert new business opportunities.
• Commercial awareness of market trends and competitor activity.
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Plan and allocate commercial activity to the area to deliver targets and grow market share.
• Collaborate with wider teams to deliver excellent customer service and product quality from order win to post-sale journey.
• Maintain strong internal relationships and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Promptly resolve service issues that could impact customer satisfaction and escalate when necessary.
• Coach team members to win new business and grow existing accounts with a strong pipeline.
• Develop team members by providing coaching to maximise performance.
• Set clear expectations and promote accountability for high performance.
• Identify and implement commercial improvements to increase efficiency and competitiveness.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, governance standards and regulatory requirements.
