Job summary

Babcock is hiring a Gas Engineer for our Minley site near Blackwater, Hampshire. You will deliver planned, reactive and remedial maintenance across a diverse estate, supporting heating, ventilation, water hygiene, sanitary and drainage systems.

The role is hands-on, with on-site work Monday–Thursday 8:00–16:30 and Friday 8:00–16:00, totaling 40 hours weekly. An on-call rota applies after six months in post, with SC security clearance required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer.
• Experience servicing, maintaining and repairing commercial gas systems and boilers.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance, inspections and statutory checks on gas and mechanical systems.
• Repair, service and fault-find on commercial boilers and equipment.
• Support mechanical asset replacement projects and refurbishment activities.
