Job summary

Multitask Personnel is seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join their facilities management team in Norwich. The role covers planned and reactive gas maintenance, fault finding, and installations across multiple sites.

The ideal candidate will hold ACS gas qualifications, have experience with commercial and domestic gas systems, and be comfortable with an on-call rota. A full UK driving licence and good CAFM/IT skills are essential.

Qualifications

• ACS Gas qualifications (CCN1, CENWAT1, HTR1, COCN1 or equivalent).
• Proven experience in gas maintenance, servicing, fault finding, and installation.
• Experience on commercial and/or domestic gas systems.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Knowledge of gas safety regulations and compliance.
• Experience in Facilities Management or building services preferred.
• Willingness to join on-call rota.
• Good IT skills (CAFM systems or similar).

Responsibilities

• Carry out PPM, reactive maintenance and installation works.
• Fault finding, diagnostics, repairs and servicing of gas systems.
• Work on commercial and domestic gas boilers, heating systems, pipework, gas-fired water heaters, air handling units and radiant tube heaters.
• Complete gas safety checks, testing and certification in line with Gas Safe regulations.
• Respond to reactive callouts and participate in on-call rota.
• Produce quotes for repair and installation works.
• Update and maintain CAFM system records.
• Ensure compliance with SLAs, gas regulations, and health & safety standards.
• Travel between multiple sites as required.

Salary: £45,000 per annum + On-Call 1 in 4 - £1,950 per annum + Overtime after 37.5 hours (1.5X)

Multitask Personnel are recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Gas Engineer / Commercial Gas Engineer to join a leading building services contractor within their Facilities Management division.

This role involves delivering planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, fault finding, and installation works across a range of gas systems on multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out PPM, reactive maintenance and installation works
• Fault finding, diagnostics, repairs and servicing of gas systems
• Work on commercial and domestic gas boilers, heating systems, pipework, gas-fired water heaters, air handling units and radiant tube heaters
• Complete gas safety checks, testing and certification in line with Gas Safe regulations
• Respond to reactive callouts and participate in on-call rota
• Produce quotes for repair and installation works
• Update and maintain CAFM system records
• Ensure compliance with SLAs, gas regulations, and health & safety standards
• Travel between multiple sites as required

Requirements:

Desirable:

• Commercial catering qualifications (COMCAT 1–5)

Package:

• £45,000per annum + 1 in 4 On-Call £1,950 per annum + Overtime available after 37.5 hours Monday to Friday (1.5X)
