Job summary

Energy Jobline ATTB is seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join the Southampton team on a permanent basis. You will perform PPMs, respond to helpdesk calls, and service HVAC assets including gas-fired heating and water systems.

Applicants should hold recognised Commercial Gas qualifications and, ideally, F Gas (2079) certification with 17th/18th Edition desirable. Company van, tools, and IT equipment provided.

Qualifications

• Recognised Commercial Gas qualifications and gas safe competence.
• F Gas (2079) certification included.
• Desirable 17th/18th Edition and HWSS/G3 Unvented HWS knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Complete the PPM schedule with accurate paperwork.
• Respond to service calls and assess and repair within timescales.
• Carry out service and maintenance on HVAC assets including gas-fired systems.
• Identify non-repairable faults and advise on replacements.

Commercial Gas Engineer
Southampton

£47,888.23 (salary including on call standby 1:4)

My client is on the lookout for an experienced HVAC Technician to join the team. You will have the opportunity to work on one of their leading supermarket contracts.

Key Responsibilities – Commercial Gas Engineer

• Complete the PPM agreed schedule ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures.
• To respond (promptly and positively) to service call/alarm requests from the central Helpdesk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as necessary within agreed timescales and response times. Updating the call and job status afterwards.
• Carry out service and maintenance on HVAC assets including but not limited to air handling units with gas fired heating, LPHW, DX coils, heat pump systems, single split air conditioning, LPHW boilers, pumps, inverters, DHW boilers, and water chillers.
• To identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Line Manager of findings and to make recommendations to the Line Manager regarding suitable replacement.
• All completed within our Health, Safety & Environmental policies

Qualifications & Experience – Commercial Gas Engineer

• You will hold recognized Commercial Gas qualifications – you will have at least 4 of the following qualifications: COCN1, CIGA1, CORT1, TPCP1, TPCP1A, ICPN1, CENWAT, CPA1, CDGA1, CCP1
• F Gas (2079) qualified
• 17th or 18th Edition (Desirable)
• Unvented Water Heaters – HWSS Hot Water Systems & Safety (including G3 Unvented HWS) – Essential

On Offer – Commercial Gas Engineer

• £47,888.23 (salary including on call standby 1:4)
• 42.5 Hours Per Week, 8:30am-5:00pm
• 25 days + 8 bank holidays
• Overtime
• Travel time after ½ hour each way
