Job summary

Omega Resource Group is seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join our client’s team on a major supermarket contract in the South West. The role covers service, maintenance, and PPM of HVAC plants with gas-fired heating, LPHW, and water systems; you will ensure compliance with safety policies and timely response to service calls.

You must hold recognized Commercial Gas qualifications (COCN1, CIGA1, CORT1, TPCP1, etc.) and F Gas 2079.

Qualifications

• Hold recognized Commercial Gas qualifications (at least 4 of the listed).
• F Gas (2079) qualification required.
• 17th/18th Edition preferred.
• Unvented Water Heaters (HWSS) essential.

Responsibilities

• Complete the PPM schedule and update paperwork.
• Respond promptly to service calls and assess repairs within agreed timescales.
• Service and maintain HVAC assets including gas-fired heating, LPHW, DX coils, heat pumps, and boilers.
• Identify non-repairable faults and advise on replacements.
• Adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental policies.

Commercial Gas Engineer

£47,888.23 (salary including on call standby 1:4)

My client is on the lookout for an experienced HVAC Technician to join the team. You will have the opportunity to work on one of their leading supermarket contracts.

Key Responsibilities - Commercial Gas Engineer

• Complete the PPM agreed schedule ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures.


• To respond (promptly and positively) to service call/alarm requests from the central Helpdesk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as necessary within agreed timescales and response times. Updating the call and job status afterwards.


• Carry out service and maintenance on HVAC assets including but not limited to air handling units with gas fired heating, LPHW, DX coils, heat pump systems, single split air conditioning, LPHW boilers, pumps, inverters, DHW boilers, and water chillers.


• To identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Line Manager of findings and to make recommendations to the Line Manager regarding suitable replacement.


• All completed within our Health, Safety & Environmental policies

Qualifications & Experience - Commercial Gas Engineer

You will hold recognized Commercial Gas qualifications - you will have at least 4 of the following qualifications: COCN1, CIGA1, CORT1, TPCP1, TPCP1A, ICPN1, CENWAT, CPA1, CDGA1, CCP1

• 42.5 Hours Per Week, 8:30am-5:00pm


• 25 days + 8 bank holidays


• Overtime


• Travel time after ½ hour each way
