Job Title: Commercial Gas Engineer (Service & Maintenance)

Location: Swindon & Surrounding Areas

Salary: Circa £50,000 per annum

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join our growing service and maintenance team, covering Swindon and the surrounding areas. This is a permanent, full-time role ideally suited to a proactive individual with a strong background in commercial heating systems, diagnostics, and maintenance.

As part of our dedicated engineering team, you’ll be responsible for carrying out reactive repairs, planned maintenance, and fault-finding on a variety of commercial gas appliances and plant rooms across client sites in sectors such as healthcare and retail.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on commercial heating and hot water systems.
2. Diagnose and repair faults on gas-fired boilers, warm air heaters, radiant tube heaters, and associated plant equipment.
3. Conduct safety checks and ensure compliance with current gas regulations.
4. Provide detailed service reports and communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.
5. Respond to emergency breakdowns as part of an on-call rota (additional pay applies).
6. Maintain tools, equipment, and the company vehicle in good working order.

Essential Requirements:

1. Current Commercial Gas Safe qualifications (COCN1, CIGA1, CDGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1A, CODNCO1).
2. Full UK driving licence.
3. Strong fault-finding skills and a commitment to high standards of customer service.
4. Willingness to travel throughout the Swindon area and occasionally beyond.

Desirable:

1. Additional qualifications in LPG, OFTEC, or domestic gas.
