Job summary

Project Start Recruitment Solutions Limited is helping a nationwide facilities maintenance provider recruit a Commercial Gas Engineer to join their Yorkshire-based team.

You will service, inspect and install commercial gas and heating systems across the region, participate in a 1-in-4 on-call rota, and ensure compliance with Gas Safe standards.

The role offers a competitive salary of £43,000–£45,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Commercial Gas Safe registration.
• Experience with commercial heating and hot water systems.
• Proven fault-finding in commercial gas services.
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.
• DBS check may be required for client sites.

Due to continued growth and ongoing demand for their services, they are now looking for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join their expanding team in Swindon/Gloucester/Oxford.

JOB PURPOSE

Due to continued growth, our client is looking for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join their expanding team in the Yorkshire area.

You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, servicing, repairs and installations across a range of commercial gas, heating and hot water systems, ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inspect, service and maintain commercial gas appliances, central heating plant and plant room equipment.
• Attend reactive, diagnostic and emergency repair calls.
• Carry out fault-finding, repairs and maintenance on commercial heating and hot water systems.
• Install commercial gas appliances, central heating plant and associated plant room equipment.
• Participate in a 1-in-4 emergency callout rota.
• Provide an effective response to emergency and out-of-hours breakdowns.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

• Commercial Gas Safe registration.
• Experience within commercial mechanical services, heating and hot water systems.
• Strong experience in commercial gas servicing, maintenance and fault-finding.
• Domestic Gas, Industrial Gas, Gas Catering or LPG qualifications would be advantageous, depending on the role and work undertaken.
• Full, current UK driving licence.
• Must have the right to work in the UK.
• Must be able to successfully complete a DBS check, subject to the requirements of the role and client sites.

SALARY & BENEFITS

Our client is offering a salary of £43,000-£45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
