Job Description
You will like the opportunity for a Permanent Commercial Gas Engineer role based in Nottinghamshire, with regional and some travel requirements. The position involves servicing, maintaining, and performing reactive work on clients' commercial heating systems and associated pipework. The work will mainly cover clients' warehouses, offices, and retail premises across the UK, dealing with various commercial and domestic heating systems such as boilers, burners, and warm air heaters.
Responsibilities
- Perform annual services and scheduled maintenance visits to high standards, following Health & Safety procedures.
- Complete Gas Safety Certificates and other relevant documentation upon job completion.
- Install new heating and hot water systems.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and rectify faults on equipment from various manufacturers.
- Identify parts and materials, liaise with suppliers, and query technical faults or warranties.
- Attend to maintenance and reactive plumbing calls as required.
- Maintain excellent communication and customer service, building rapport with clients.
- Attend scheduled training to keep skills and qualifications up to date, ensuring H&S compliance.
Requirements
- Essential: Commercial ACS certifications, Gas Safety Registered/Commercial Gas Safe registered.
- Valid UK driver’s license.
- Desirable: Commercial and domestic gas qualifications, experience with air handling/ventilation systems.
- IPAF/PASMA certification for servicing high-level warehouse heaters.
- Motivated, high standards, good communication skills.
- Availability for occasional work away, on-call rota (nights and weekends).
- Qualifications: COCN1, CDGA1, CIGA1, CORT1, ICPN1, TPCP1, ACCN1, CEN1, CPA1.
Benefits
- Competitive pay at £20.90/hour (~£40,755/year), with potential total earnings of £45K-£55K with overtime.
- Normal hours: Monday-Friday, 08:00-16:00, with paid overtime.
