Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking a Commercial Gas Engineer to join a leading facilities team in Perth. You will deliver planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across commercial properties and government sites, with field-based work from Montrose to Stirling.

The role requires extensive experience in commercial gas, heating and building services, fault finding and diagnostics, with a UK driving licence and flexibility for on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in commercial gas, combustion, heating and building services maintenance.
• Strong commercial gas and heating engineering background.

• Experience undertaking installation and repair works.
• Experience delivering reactive maintenance and PPM.
• Experience in commercial buildings or FM environments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance across commercial gas, combustion, heating and HVAC systems.
• Diagnose faults and undertake repairs on heating and gas systems.
• Carry out routine servicing, inspections and maintenance in line with legislation and client requirements.
• Undertake new installations and major/minor repair works to gas and heating systems.
• Complete general building services maintenance (HVAC, Plumbing, Mechanical systems, Building fabric).
• Respond to out-of-hours callouts as part of on-call rota.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure safety/compliance.
• Travel between client sites across North East Scotland as required.

Job description

Commercial Gas Engineer - Perth - Salary up to £52,000 DOE

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join a leading facilities team, delivering planned, preventative and reactive maintenance across commercial properties and government sites throughout North East Scotland.

This is a field-based role, based in Perth, with coverage extending from Montrose to Stirling.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), proactive maintenance and reactive repairs across commercial gas, combustion, heating and HVAC systems.
• Diagnose faults and undertake effective repairs on commercial heating and gas systems.
• Carry out routine servicing, inspections and maintenance in line with relevant legislation, industry standards and client requirements.
• Undertake new installations and both major and minor repair works to gas and heating systems.
• Complete general building services maintenance, including:
  • HVAC
  • Plumbing
  • Mechanical systems
  • Building fabric
  • Associated building services
• Respond to out-of-hours callouts as part of the on-call rota, ensuring issues are dealt with safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with relevant health, safety and compliance requirements.
• Travel between client sites across North East Scotland as required.

Person Specification

• You will have significant experience working within commercial gas, combustion, heating and building services maintenance, ideally within a Facilities Management or commercial property environment.
• Strong commercial gas and heating engineering background.
• Experience in fault finding and diagnostics.
• Experience carrying out routine and preventative maintenance.
• Experience undertaking installation and repair works.
• Extensive experience delivering both reactive maintenance and PPM.
• Experience working within commercial buildings or a Facilities Management environment.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload across multiple sites.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
