Job description

Commercial Gas Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to work with a range of Mitie clients, carrying out maintenance and repair tasks, including fabric and basic electrical work as required under contract. Responsibilities include:

1. Performing Planned Preventative Maintenance and completing all necessary paperwork and reports.
2. Carrying out reactive and emergency tasks, utilizing handheld technology effectively.
3. Being available on a call-out rota to provide out-of-hours support and assisting team members as directed by a Supervisor or Contract Manager.
4. Sourcing additional opportunities or works on-site and providing information for quotes.
5. Monitoring subcontractors regarding work standards and health and safety, issuing permits, and controlling small works and escort duties as needed.

Candidates must have experience in maintenance, testing, and fault finding on equipment such as boilers, ventilation systems, pumps, generators, switchgear, cables, batteries, small power, and lighting. Knowledge of health and safety practices is essential.
