Job description

COMMERCIAL GAS ENGINEER / COMBUSTION ENGINEER:

Main Purpose:

To ensure the operation and condition of all site assets are maintained and are operating as they should, according to the client's requirements. Attend breakdowns within the allocated response time of the contract. Fault find, repair, and rectify faults accurately and within a reasonable timeframe.

Experience Required:

Experience in preventive planned maintenance, diagnostics, repair, remedial works, and small works on full commercial boiler plant, heating systems, associated pipework, and control systems.

Qualifications Required:

• ACS Commercial Gas: CCN1, CENWAT, COCN1 / CODNCO1, CDGA1, CIGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1a, BMP1
• Where required: CORT1, TPCP1, CCP1

Additional Preferred Experience:

Experience in the service and maintenance of combustion management systems.

Duties:

• Carry out all PPM checks and scheduled maintenance on all site heat plant and related systems.
• Attend first-line reactive responses within the specified time to diagnose and rectify faults. Inform the service desk of actions taken and any further required actions, such as ordering parts or additional works.
• Ensure all plant and equipment are left in a safe condition in accordance with current GAS Safe regulations.
• Perform work in compliance with GAS Safe regulations.
• Ensure hazardous or dangerous equipment is not left on site and is stored and transported safely.
• If a quotation is needed, evaluate the required works, advise the service desk, and complete the necessary paperwork to provide an accurate quote to the client.
• Perform remedial, upgrade, retrofit, and replacement works as authorized.
• Assist other engineers as required.
• Maintain professional interaction with clients.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and to a high standard.
